Magnetic fields are produced by an electric current. This demonstrator uses four compasses to show the electric current running in the wire produces a magnetic field that affects the compasses. Using right hand rules, the magnetic field's direction and polarity can be determined. Include a switch, a 1.5V battery, coil, 4 compasses and a 180×180× 200mm acrylic box.
